Today, due to the abundance of English classes, they have become an “easy” profession for those who know how to speak and want extra income. But here at Vostè, we do not share this belief. Do you know why?
When you find a language school/academy/private teacher, you have a purpose, a dream, and a life goal, be it a trip, a job, migrating to another country, or simply the dream of one day being able to speak English. Here, we take it seriously.
English is an investment in your future. With him, you can get where you never imagined. Our CEO, Luiza Lauar, managed to break into the Middle Eastern market by communicating effectively and talking about her work with the same intensity she uses in Portuguese.
However, I want to leave some tips here on how to find a worthwhile private tutor.
#1 Detach from methods
I see many advertisements from students looking for teachers, and in these advertisements, I see that students know a methodology from the internet or have worked with it once, and want to use it for the rest of their lives.
Things change, and with technology, traditional English books such as English File, Oxford, and many others have become a reference for teachers to better understand the subject and group ideas into their own methodologies. Today’s teaching is much more personalized than before; teachers use different methods for different types of students.
Snedo like that, DETAIL.
#2 Schools are people
After the pandemic, people realized they could do much more in language teaching and thus formed their schools online, just like Vostè. People who are already indignant about the rigid, traditional teaching of today realize they can do more for their students.
But make no mistake, there are still people who give private lessons using these obsolete methods.
So, research a lot, and don’t discard a school just because you think it will be more of the same. Don’t say “I don’t want language schools, I want PEOPLE”, because people manage these schools, and the teachers are people who can help you more than you can imagine.
So, give the new one a chance.
#3 Stop looking for price.
“Ahh, but that’s all I can afford.”
I understand all the difficulties that a person goes through, and I also understand that there are priorities.
And sometimes you see ‘priority’ as ‘urgency,’ but they are two different things. I take Italian classes because I know I’ll need them in the future. I can see several opportunities for me to do this, so I’m not necessarily taking classes to recoup my investment in the same month. I know that this is a time-consuming process and that it doesn’t depend exclusively on the language, but having it, I’m already halfway there.
So, have your budget, but also see where you can cut to get the best learning, not the cheapest.
However, I want to tell you that you can, you can, and you must!
I invite you to get to know us, to understand who Vostè is, and, above all, to become our successful case!
A big kiss from someone who is already proud of you for having come this far and for thinking about improving your life.
